An easy day's drive from Sacramento, north on I-5, got us to Ashland, OR. We stayed at Emigrant Lake County Park...a first for us and one that has received rave reviews from other bloggers.

The Point RV Park has 32 well-placed view sites with full-hookups for $26 per night, a bargain rate in a beautiful setting. This would make a great family summer destination with a water-slide park, play grounds, grassy shaded picnic areas, and, of course, boating, swimming, water-skiing; all about 4 miles from the quaint town of Ashland.
Visiting Ashland, famous for its annual Shakespeare Festival, and the backroads of much of Jackson County was also a first. The many wineries and farm markets plus the old historic town of Jacksonville provided a great day of sight-seeing.

Another Oregon gem we have yet to visit. Been to Ashland and Jacksonville but never to Emigrant Lake. Looks like the carnival was on the move!!
Hanging out in one of my old stomping grounds. Used to explore out by the Lake when I worked at Oregon Caves. I miss the PNW and am thinking of a fall road trip that direction.
Point RV Park looks like a great place to stay. We'll try it next time through the area.
