Happy New Year in our Happy Place!

So many New Years start right here in the Anza Borrego Desert, where we are boondocking off Rockhouse Rd. near S-22...in case you're in our neighborhood.  It is cold, unlike the 80 degrees last year, and our trusty propane catalytic heater is working overtime.

We've missed these magnificent sunsets!  Did I say it was cold?  Won't be sitting outside tonight...

Though the day was pretty special and some blue sky appeared for awhile...

And we needed to do our traditional New Year's hike up Coyote Mountain...

Howard repairs rock cairns along the way to mark our trail...

While I wonder if this was really a good idea! It's been awhile since this body got a good work-out....

Howard tames the wild beast!  He seems to have grown some in the last year....

Seriously, isn't this a work of art?

Happy New Year to all our blogging buddies, friends cyber and otherwise.....

Love the snake! Gorgeous sunset, even from inside. Very cold here. Happy New Year in your happy place.

I'm so glad you are both in your "happy place!" I need to get out and hike too! I'm going out in my "ancient" RV in a week or so to Quartzsite. Happy New Year!
